Here are the Answers to Questions We Get a Lot
1. How Does Angled Manufacture their Products?
We use Fleets of 3D Printers operated by Slant 3D to produce the products on demand by the Thousands.
2. Who Designs the Products?
We work predominately with other designers to bring their products to Life. These include Youtubers, independent designers and other companies. Though we design a few ourselves.
3. What does it take to get a Product on Angled?
Submit It. When you send us your 3D Model it will then be evaluated and if approved it will be posted within a few days.
4. Do I need to provide product Photos?
No. If your product is approved Angled will create sample prints of your parts and then create professional product photos of it for the website. Though we welcome any content you may have.
5. Do I still own my design after I submit it to Angled?
Absolutely. Angled is just a manufacturer. Any Product submitted to us is kept confidential until it is ready for launch and the designer retains all rights to the model. You may learn more about this by visiting our Terms of Service
6. How do I make Money on Angled
If your product is approved for Angled and launched, then you receive a 25% royalty on all sales of that product. This will be paid to you monthly.
7. Do I have to provide packaging or other materials for my product.
No. Angled takes care of everything once the product is launched.
8. What happens when I order a product.
Angled communicates with Slant 3D printer farms. When an order comes in the part starts printing immediately. It is then packed and shipped within 1-2 business days.
9. Why 3D Printing?
3D Printing allows parts to be made on demand. So there is little up front cost to get started. This way we can have designers just submit a design and it is immediately ready for production. This is not possible with any other manufacturing process.
10. Are there any size restrictions on parts.
The 3D model of the product has to fit in the volume of a 7 inch cube.
11. I can't make a 3D Model. Can I still submit an idea.
Absolutely. If the idea is accepted than Angled can create the 3D model for you. But we need a detailed sketch of the product. And you may receive a slightly smaller royalty than those products that are fully designed upon submission.
12. I would like a custom product for my Youtube Channel. How do I get started
You can select from our standard items (Lamps, coasters, keychains) or we can work with you to design a completely custom product.
13. How are the products Marketed?
Angled will market your products though our various channels (blogs, social media). But it is important that you do all that you can to promote your product as well. Add links in your youtube description or from a thingiverse page. Share it with your friends.
14. I see that Angled has several Kickstarters. Are all products launched here?
Not all. But we do use Kickstarter often to grow preorders before a product launch. This helps to gain attention for the product.
