Another designer is on the rise here at Angled. Have you ever been interested in architecture or visited a monument that took your breath away? Well Mini World 3D, spearheaded by Dany Sanchez, is bringing your favorite architectural monuments to life in miniature form. Keep your monument on your desk at work as a promise that you will one day see it in person or use them in table top games to upgrade your gameplay.
We are looking for product designers that can create useful and beautiful products.
At Angled we work with designers all over the world. Angled allows them to put their ideas into peoples hands for free. And we are always looking for more.
Industrial designers are a select group. Engineers with an eye for art. Problem solvers that have to think about a customer as well as the manufacturing.
Angled is constantly looking for new products. But all too often there problems with submission that prevent them from thriving on the platform. Often it has to do with manufacturability or the value of the product in general. Since industrial designers sit at the intersection of all parts of a product they are ideal for creating new products.
Industrial designers also often suffer from a lack of outlets for their ideas. Portfolios overflow with sketches and renders, and unfortunately many of them will never be made.
Angled was created to drop the barriers to zero of manufacturing a new product. Now any product can be made if it solves a problem or creates something that no one has ever seen. Those portfolios can now become actual products and prove themselves in the world.
How Does it Work
You submit a design. It must be 3D Printable and either solve a problem or be something that is fresh and new. You keep ownership of the design, you simply license it to Angled.io. If the product is approved then it will be added to the Angled.io site. And since we want every designer to be successful we will help with promotion and advertising (though make sure that you take responsibility for your success as well by sharing and promoting your product.)
Designers on Angled receive a royalty from every sale of their products. Often these royalties are greater than standard licensing royalties if a company were to take on your invention. We have designers on the platform that have begun to make it their full time career.
There is no cost to submit. We want to partner with designers and give them outlet for their products. Thousands of brilliant ideas are lost each year due to the cost of manufacturing. We have made that cost zero.
What is a Good Product?
If we knew that precisely we would be on our private islands. The beauty of Angled is that is allows ideas for physical products to be tried and iterated on for free. But there are some basic principles and genres of products that we look for.
Currently on Angled products that we are looking for are in the following categories
Industrial designers make their living running through endless new products. Angled gives them an outlet for all the ideas on the sketch pad. It is free to get started and allows designers of mechanical things to do what the programmers have been doing for years. Create something over the weekend that could make them a millionaire.
We can't wait to see what you will create.
So your products are now on Angled.io, now what? Well its time to start marketing your products! Today we are breaking down three easy ways to promote your product so that you can get your very first sale.
Promoting on Social Media
Ok let's first start with the easiest one, post your products on your social media! The first people that will want to buy your products are people who already know who you. Post on your social media stories as well as post on your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media accounts you can think of. Don't forget to tag us at @Angledproducts on Instagram and Facebook. We try to repost designers on our story whenever possible. For easy access to your Angled listing, always keep the link in your bio. One of our designers Devin Montes featured Angled in his YouTube video and instantly received hundreds of dollars in sales upon uploading. Obviously this technique may help you the more followers you have, but letting your friends, fans, and family know is always a great first step. Who knows grandma might buy ten!
Post on Reddit Forums and Facebook Groups
Share your products with fellow designers in the community. If you have a Reddit account post your designs in 3D designer forums or forums relating to your product. For example, if you designed a Darth Vader buddha head post it in the "Star Wars Fan Art" forum. The same goes for Facebook, find niche Facebook groups that would appreciate your designs and art work. Keep in mind that some groups do not like promotions or require admin approval to post. Be aware of the community guidelines and that you are following all the rules of the group. Most of the time other designers and creators are very supportive of you starting your own small business through Angled.
Here at Angled we want to try to support our designers as much as possible and this includes helping them get their first sale. If you have any questions about getting your first sale or your product listing, contact us using our contact page on our website. We are also in the process of creating a designer Facebook page for our Angled designers so keep an eye out for that to come in the near future. That way you can not only communicate with us but get advice from each other. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to be notified when it goes live.
The son of the most powerful super hero on the planet is here to hold your headphones. The superhero Invincible is now a headphone stand. The Invincible Headphone Stand is modeled after the main character in the Amazon Prime TV Series "Invincible. "This tv series based off the comic books is unlike any other superhero show. Along with designer Eastman, the Angled team is a big fan of the show.
