3D Printing is a great hobby. You get to create cool stuff as quickly as you can think of it. But like most great hobbies it is also a bit expensive.
Many 3D Printing hobbyists end up turning their hobby into a small business to help pay for filament and the machine itself. Etsy stores, eBay, and even Facebook have been great areas for this. But running a 3D printing business is sometimes more effort than it’s worth. Sure you get to print the products, that’s great. But you have to ship it, you have to market it, and when Christmas comes around you have get an overflow of orders you can't keep up with. You went from trying to create cool stuff and having fun sharing it, to a full time job.
This is the reason Angled was created. To get 3D printed products manufactured and into customers hands without designers having to deal with the whole manufacturing cost and process.
Angled allows designers to upload a 3D model. If approved by the Angled team (to ensure manufacturability, safety, attribution, etc.) then it is listed on the site. From there, a normal person can purchase the 3D printed product. When that order comes through, Angled uses 3D Printing farms with hundreds machines to make the piece on demand. We box it and ship it to the customer in a couple of days.
With Devin, he started out with the Tippi Tree game on Angled. Obviously since printing out kits for fans would probably distract a bit from actually running his YouTube channel. Now not only are normal people able to get a copy of the game, but Devin now gets to turn all of his ideas into actual passive income.
All designers on Angled.io receive a monthly royalty on the sales of their products. Currently it is 15-25%.
It has been great to work with Devin, and all the other designers on our site like Eastman, Clockspring, and Selfix, who have submitted and licensed designs with us.
It is now possible for anyone anywhere to just upload a 3D model and immediately get mass production and fulfillment taken care of if the world likes it. No more setting up Esty shops, no more packing boxes. You can now just create awesome stuff and share it with the world, and make some money.
The featured album on their Spotify Mixtape is "Cobain & Cornbread." The unique name comes from an answer that Eva gave in an interview when asked what The Black Tones music sounds like. Since Eva and Cedric's family is from Louisiana but they were born and raised in the pacific north west, The Black Tones offer a unique sound that no one else quite has. The homey southern hospitality represented by cornbread and the alternative rock undertones similar to rockstar Kurt Cobain. Those two sounds combined manifested the album that is "Cobain & Cornbread."
To catch these twins for their next family reunion, follow them on social media to see where they are playing next. Also check out their artist page on our website for more content from The Black Tones. If you want a custom mixtape for your band, podcast, album, or song let us know by contacting us on our contact page. For more information about our mixtapes check out our blog post, "NEW RELEASE: SPOTIFY MIXTAPES FOR ARTISTS."
At Angled.io, we often use our numerous 3D printers to fill needs that arrive in our warehouse.
We need a pen holder? Printed in-house. We need a printer elbow? Printed in-house. Just recently, our designers noticed that the team was losing small tools around the warehouse, so they quickly devised a solution. They designed a custom tool stand to help our team keep track of all their tools, in one place.
Our designers created this custom tool stand with cubbies for each specific tool that our team may need. This means no more misplacing small tools! Rather than laying tools on a work table or putting them all in a box, they now have their own individual place. Even better, our team members can now simply glance at a tool stand and see which tools may be misplaced.
One of the ingenious elements of our custom tool stand is it’s low-plastic-use design. Not only does the porous nature of the stand mean that we save a ton of plastic in its production, but it also increases efficiency in print time. Rather than having to print a heavy block of plastic layer by layer, our printers can quickly produce a grid pattern with ease without losing any structural integrity in the stand. Even with cubbies in the side of the stand, the grid pattern provides just as much structural integrity as a smooth block of plastic would.
This custom tool stand is a versatile design that will be able to adjust right along with our team. New cubbies can be removed or added to the design as needed, and our team will be able to keep track of the tools they need, all while cutting down on time and plastic to produce. If you want to design something custom for your business, had over to our Product Submission Page to send us your design to produce.

With new headphones being released every week, partnering with influencers, and blowing up on social media, Angled has been skyrocketing in sales since the beginning of 2021.

Our team often gets questions about where are products are made and we are always happy to tell them that it is in Boise, Idaho. Customers that have never heard about Angled will often guess that everything we make is made off in a distant factory in China but that is quite the contrary.
Bringing new business and exciting endeavors to our local city of Boise is something we take a lot of pride in. As Boise is beginning to expand into a hotspot for new technology and startups, Angled will be one of the many that has proven successful in a few short years. Since Angled is run by Slant 3D's printing farms, labor is never an issue. This has allowed us to stay running throughout the pandemic. It also allows us to be independent from third party vendors that would have maybe have gone out of business.
