This Valentine's Day, Angled is coming out with a bunch of new products and items. Sticking to the theme of love and the color red, all of these products can set the tone for a romantic evening or be a great gift to a close loved one. ![]() The first design we have is from designer A Wakeford. This Valentine's Day Candle Floater is a great example of how a easily an item can be changed to fit the season. The letters at the top can be changed to any word when designing and can make one design turn into many products. Put water in the dish and watch your candles float. ![]() Next up is this Heart Shaped Candle Holder. This tea light candle holder can be bought by the dozens. Since it is a smaller item, it allows customers to buy this product in bulk to decorate larger spaces. It is always a good idea to think how many items will one person buy when designing decoration pieces. ![]() Lastly is the classic Heart Shaped Box. This is a great item to give for a gift this Valentine's Day to a special someone. It can hold any small jewelry pieces or keepsakes. A great idea is to give this box to your partner with a set of keys inside as a proposal to move in together. However, whatever you use this box for is up to you and don't be afraid to get creative. If you have any creative designs for the upcoming holidays that you want featured on our website then head over to the Submit Your Product page to get started with Angled.io. A percentage of all sales goes to the designer so they can continue making awesome stuff.
We are happy to welcome the designs of Eastman, aka David Östman, to Angled.io. David makes fan art 3D busts of superheros and characters for 3D Printing. David is a Norwegian 3D modeler. Using Angled.io his designs are now accessible to those without 3D Printers. We did something unique with David. We licensed his designs outright, then made some modifications to make them not just fine artistic pieces but also functional. Several of his designs have been turned into busts for headphone stands. Putting his models on Angled, not only gives David another way to fund his work but also ensures that his work can reach much of the world. His designs have been made products, and he does not have to deal with manufacturing or logistics. He is entirely free to create. Deadpool Headphone Stand

A portion of all sales goes back to designers so that they can continue to create awesome products. With Angled we have taken the product development process and reduced its cost from 10,000's of dollars to make it free. Bringing a product to market has always been a gamble. A big one. You would see an opportunity, and then you would go through a months-long process to prepare the design, purchase molds, ship in inventory, design packaging, get distribution, figure out marketing, and then finally launch.
That process of manufacturing a new product has always been very long and very expensive. Most products cost 10,000's of dollars before they ever hit an amazon listing or store shelf. And that process is also very complicated. Entrepreneurs have to navigate design, supply, sourcing, shipping, and marketing just to name a few. This is silly. Zuckerberg was able to start Facebook from a weekend's work that was uploaded for free. Influencers post content on Instagram and Youtube for free but can make fortunes. Ebooks are published for free whenever an author is ready. But physical things still have an enormous cost and expertise barrier to entry. That is why we made Angled. We have taken the supply, distribution, and manufacturing, and made it invisible and digital. So now manufacturing and selling a product is like uploading an EBook to amazon. You submit it, it is listed, and you get a royalty when someone buys it, but you pay nothing up front. The reason this is possible is because we use digital manufacturing processes. We use 3D Printing farms instead of molds and warehouses. Products are made only when they are ordered. And to make them all we need is a 3D model of the product. This means none of the cost of traditional manufacturing applies. There are no molds, no transport, no inventory requirements. Just an idea and a laptop. Just as the servers that run the internet serve up your YouTube video when you want it. Our 3D Printing Farms serve up products when you want them. We hope that Angled.io will make is possible for ideas to be created that were never possible before. A kid in a dorm room, with a weekend's effort, can now create something and deliver it to the world with nothing more than keystrokes and an idea. Manufacturing used to be be a rich man's game. Now anyone, anytime, and anywhere can create, anything for free. And we can't wait to see what you create. |
